Guitars: Day 4 and Home: Day 1

The following blog post is guaranteed to be incoherent and is also guaranteed not to have big words like Dr. Dryw’s post. Kisses Dryw (pronounced “Droo”).

I’ve been tracking guitars for what seems like forever and I am going back to Sacramento tonight for four days to catch up at my job and also to get ready for more tracking on Wednesday. I’m really happy with the progress we’ve made, at this rate we’ll have the album finished on time, which is….uh, very important. I hate my baritone, it makes my fingers hurt, but I love it because it sounds mean. Amtrak soon.

Went to go see Copeland at Slim’s in SF on Monday, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have liked, probably because I spent the week prior doing nothing but listening to and recording music. Bad timing for a concert, I suppose.

Last night we went with Aaron and his fiance (face edited for her protection, and for maximum lols) to an Indian restaurant in Oakland and had tikimasala and vindaloo. Garlic naan is a thing to be feared and respected, especially when combined with vindaloo. I can still feel my insides battling with that meal.

The recording process is a lot like touring in that your days sort of just fly by, and I find myself having a hard time remembering the day before. Zack and Jordan headed back to Sac, leaving Dryw and I all to our lonesome. We watched Juno and discussed all things life and music last night before heading to bed. My little area is in the back of the studio (where there are no windows) so when I fall asleep it’s like a coma. It rules.

I’m really looking forward to taking a break from the Castle and spending time with my family and whatnot. I just got word that In:Aviate (check them out on tour, good buddies and bros) will be staying in Sacramento at my apartment tonight. Excitement. Check out pictures, which are infinitely better than this blog.
