Holy delayed tumblr post batman
With all the various options to communicate with our adoring fans, I forgot about our tumblr.

We’re doing a music video for one of the tracks from our upcoming release “signs and wonders” - on iTunes in 8 days!
Dryw is recording our new new friends FROM INDIAN LAKES in July. They are from….Indian lakes. Fresno area I think.

Signs & Wonders
is done.
So, the record is finished. We go back to not being quite so broke and to a more normal pace of life, at least for a little bit before things get crazy again. It’s time for a wee vacation!
We hope you enjoy the album. More songs up soon.

vocals
are almost done. We have three more days this week in the studio tracking vocals and a little bit of guitar. I had some seriously legit talks with Zack Attack that were fueled by a lack of hanging out and Eye of the Hawk. We went back to Aaron’s apartment, got burgers at Barney’s and played Halo 3 online while I attempted to avoid slipping into a food/beer coma. We watched youtube...

yo!
We spent the weekend in the studio. Dryw was sick, so no vocals tracked, but we did get a ton of stuff done. On Saturday Jordan tracked accordion for a song called “No More Samaritans” and Zack and I tracked on a song called “Son of Hell”.
Sunday was spent with our new friend Kush Arora (www.kusharora.com), an ace programmer from the bay area who helped us revamp...
Friends,
We have been working hard at home and in the studio, and I realize that apart from Sean’s pithy posts and insights, this blog has been pretty dead over the past month or so. I wanted to update you on what we have been working on, however, so we have posted an early mix of one of our songs, entitled “On High” on our myspace (here). Be sure to check it out soon, because...
yo, sup LOL
What started out as a harmless joke and what I thought was funny and ironic has become a staple of my e-communication. I’m talking about l33t-speek, or whatever it is. LOL CAPS OMG. I need to stop, it’s bad.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are playing our first show back this Friday, January 9th at Luigi’s Pizza in Downtown Sacramento (http://www.myspace.com/luigisslice) at...

Spent yesterday tracking vocals (well, not me per se but Dryw. I watched and wrote guitar parts for new songs/other things) and desperately tried to avoid the bitter cold that plagues our little cave, the studio.
Things are sounding good. I’m confident the final product will be a really transparent representation of where we are as a band and as people. We have a few more days to track in...
we sit and we wait
“I know men’s hearts are swayed by sound in a singer’s strains.
But have I faith enough to sing a city to decay?
I have tried to move mountains, and they did not obey,
but by brass and belief, their towers will be razed.”
lyrics. finishing vocals up this month and early next month, then we release this beast. practices start soon, getting ready to play shows in January.
happy holidays...
well, this is awesome
We are officially behind schedule. gear issues, electricity problems and annoying-as-all-get-go neighbors tuning drums during vocal tracking has set us back a few days, so we have to book odd days during December and January to make sure this beast gets finished.
Our goal this week is to finish acoustic guitars and continue with vocals. We are fortunate enough to track with a very pricey santa...
Piano, Keys, Vocals, Other.
It’s high time for an update.
We all went home for Thanksgiving which was a welcome break from this process. Eating and visiting with some extended family I had not seen in a while allowed me to put my mind in another place for a while, which was nice. Alas, this break only lasted for one day before going back to work. It is not so daunting, however, when you are in love with what you do:)

Vocals Day 2.5
Alright Zack Here again giving you a quick manly blog update…
(thats a creepy picture of me..I like putting up pictures of me because being the bass player I don’t get any attention…it’s all about Dryw as it should be)… You also can see through close observation that I have been growing out my studio beard
Anyways I just wanted to give yall an update on our...
Day ?? Guitars, Bass
Yes, it’s good to be back. Got to the studio on Wednesday and I leave tonight. Watched/listened to Zack track bass and read The Godfather, also played 1941 (awesome side-scroller shooter) with Dryw on the hacked xbox in the room I sleep in. Spent last weekend with In:Aviate at their Modesto and Bakersfield shows. Discussed future tours and met some other legit dudes in the bands...
Castle Sessions- Guitars Day 7ish
Hello! Zack here…I don’t get to post stuff like this often because Sean and Dryw hog all the glory (JK bros) so this post will be very rookie status. So this is our 3rd week and it has been super fun, but super drawn out… Somehow, we’ve managed to all get along really well spending so much time together in such a small space. I’m a pretty visual guy who doesn’t...
Más Guitarras: Día ∞
Jordan and I stayed at the Berkeley Hostel over the past weekend, and experienced more Indian food at a place around the corner from the hostel. How nice to get back to something I grew up with :) Two musicians served as entertainment for the night: a sitarist, and a man playing the tablas. The two performed beautifully, providing a welcome contrast to the sounds I have been near for the past two...
Guitars: Day 4 and Home: Day 1
The following blog post is guaranteed to be incoherent and is also guaranteed not to have big words like Dr. Dryw’s post. Kisses Dryw (pronounced “Droo”).
I’ve been tracking guitars for what seems like forever and I am going back to Sacramento tonight for four days to catch up at my job and also to get ready for more tracking on Wednesday. I’m really happy with the...
Castle Sessions- Guitars Day 3
…and day 2 of being sick, inspiring a blog through the fog of illness and nyquill induced inebriation. I nostalgically recall the low-budget science-fiction movies of old: the kind that would be parodied in Mystery Science Theater 3000- as Aaron and Sean create and record ethereal swelling noises with guitars at the computer desk. This, combined with the interference of firing neurons in my...
guitars, day 1
it’s actually day 2 of guitars, because it’s 12:57 AM. we’re uh, tracking guitars and I need sleep. It starts again tomorrow at 10 AM. don’t ever eat mcdonalds two hours before bedtime. scratch that, don’t ever eat mcdonalds. my stomach hates me, and I sort of hate me right now too.
walkingstick and I were talking the other day about how fortunate we are to be doing...
a whole lot of nothing, which is awesome....
Dryw and I are rekindling our friendship of old (back in high school) due to the close proximity of our living conditions and the mutual need to do some serious CHILLING. He just made me oatmeal, what a sweetheart. We’re sitting on the couch listening to them demos and are making notes on which sections of guitar we want to track first. NerdOut ‘08.
Our good friend (and my coworker)...
Castle Sessions: Reviewing Drums
Sorry for the delay on this entry, but the past few days have been pretty uneventful, so you who have been following have not missed much. Recent days have consisted solely of reviewing the countless drum takes Luke recorded at Sharkbite studio and making sure everything is sounding good. We finished our time at Sharkbite last week, and are recording the rest of the instruments at Castle Ultimate...
Sharkbite Sessions: Day 2
I guess my body hates me for the transition from a desk job to tracking scratch guitar or something, because yesterday was one giant slow plunge into feeling like a huge pile of crap. I think I overdosed on NyQuil at around 4 PM and slept until 8 o’clock. My camera got left in Aaron’s car in the ghetto so there will be no pictures today. Tomorrow. Be patient. I slept from 9:30 PM...
Sharkbite Sessions: Day 1
Today we have begun our month-long recording adventure. We are spending the first portion of our time at Sharkbite Studios for drums.
We are all really excited to finally see this thing come together. The studio is real nice, though we are all pretty tired from staying up late, tuning drums and jamming to Evol Intent. Right now, Luke is testing his drum sounds and we will soon be recording.
